In deciding where you would like your child to go to school, it is really important to find out as much as you can about the schools themselves. We hold Open days and an Open Evening in November for parents of children due to start in Reception the following September. You simply need to turn up to one of the sessions and these will be advertised nearer the time.
We are also very happy for parents to make specific appointments to visit the school at any point during the academic year and we would ask you to arrange this with the office.
The local authority (LA) coordinates all admissions for children starting school for the first time and the link below will direct you to the Kent County Council website where you will find all the information that you require. If you have a child in any other year group, and would like to enquire about places, then please do so directly through the school office.
APPEALS TIMETABLE – 2019
If your child is due to start primary, infant or junior school in 2019 you can appeal between 16 April and 21 May 2019 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by 23 July 2019.
If you wish to appeal please forward this to the ‘Clerk to Governors’ and mark the envelope as ‘Admissions Appeal’. Please send appeals directly to the school or hand in at the school office.
For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals. For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 schools days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 schools days of the appeals being lodged.
